The Old Sunday School Reviews

Incredible and well presented property. Perfect for our needs in every way. Highly recommended staying here and well be back for sure.
We were a family of eight adults travelling from Canada and our stay with you was wonderful. We found the accommodation to contain many extra thoughtful touches not often found in rental properties, like insulated picnic wear and shopping bags. There was lots of space for everyone and we really enjoyed watching the sheep wander the streets. We would definitely return should the opportunity arise.
A stunning place, ultra spacious, huge open plan sociable kitchendiner with an extensive range of appliances, crockery etc. comfortable lounge and bedrooms and spotlessly clean too. Superbly designed and created from an old chapel building, complemented so well by the decor and accessories. Amazing artwork to complement the building design and decor. Stunning views of the Forest from the front. Located perfectly in a very quiet village and easy to travel to many of the places of interest in the Forest of Dean. Perfect!!
The old Sunday school was a great place for our group of friends to stay for a few nights near the forest of dean! Clean and comfortable and with everything we needed, including useful information about the surrounding area emailed to us in the welcome pack. The owners were easy to contact and very helpful, for example when one of our cars broke down and we needed recommendations for garages nearby! I'd stay here again, definitely.
Immaculate. We were well looked after, correspondence with Adam was first class. Property was perfect for our group and we are looking forward to coming back in the future
A lovely property, extremely well equipped. Great communication from Adam, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The old Sunday school building has been transformed into a stylish and comfortable home, impressively well equipped and perfect for our family group of 3 retired couples with everything we needed to prep meals and enjoy relaxed evenings. There's only off street parking for 2 cars but parking in the road outside wasn't a problem. Adam was really quick to respond when we needed something. Bream village is a great location for exploring the Forest of Dean
Alison
A beautifully appointed house, tastefully decorated with everything needed for our stay. We will definitely be booking again.
Philip
Brilliant house and very well equipped for our stay. High quality facilities, very much appreciated by all. Thank you
Leonora
Thanks again for ensuring we 'felt' special for our second stay in your home.
Beautiful property. Well appointed. Close to village centre and Forest Of Dean attractions. Would definitely stay again.
We had a wonderful week! Property was stunning internally, it was the best we have ever had. The furnishings and decoration were amazing. It was all well equipped and very comfortable. The welcome pack a bit mean or nonexistent on recent holiday homes was generous! Initially, we were concerned with the scaffolding on the other half of the chapel but we had a lovely sitting out area where this could not be seen. Also, we had a bit of noise banging and drilling but not too bad. Would highly recommend.
Sandie
The Old Sunday School was a perfect choice for 8 ladies to meet for our annual weekend get together. The house was spacious, very well equipped with three bathrooms, ideal for the early morning rush! Bream is a pretty village with great walks from the house. We would definitely stay there again.
Maitrisiddhi
What a gorgeous space! Beautiful, characterful, comfortable, clean, everything works, a kitchen with everything, indoor space enough for the little kids to run about..... I don't think it could be better.
Positives The accommodation was perfect for 4 old couples meeting up for a reunion. The location was great. We came from all over the U.K. Complaintsgrumbles One leftover toilet roll in each of the bathrooms with no spares for 8 people for 4 days is totally unacceptable. We expect them to be provided or highlighted in the instructions! BRING YOUR OWN LOO ROLLS! Plus the recycling instructions are very complicated and stressful.
Weve had a wonderful 3 nights at the Old Sunday School. The property has been finished to a high standard and very tastefully furnished. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds very comfortable. As we were a group of 5 friends we had asked for one of the bedrooms to be made up into 2 single beds and this was all done for us. The kitchendining area is well equipped and lovely and bright. Sofas are comfortable and plenty of room to sit out if the weather is fine. There isnt a lot in Bream itself but it is a great base with lots to do in the area. Can highly recommend this property, it was beautiful. I certainly hope to come back.
The property was spacious and easily accommodated 5 male adults. The place was very well equipped and we were delighted to find that many peripheral products were supplied, such as tea, coffee, toilet paper, shower gel, dishwasher tablets, salt pepper and spices, bin bags and cleaning products. Parking is a bit tight and leads out onto quite a busy road but that is the only slight negative. Otherwise any of us would happily stay there again.
5 star property couldn't pick anything I would change. A real credit to the owners. Would stay there again ever time. Great communication from owners. Pub and shop in walking distance, great walks on your doorstep. Good central area for day trips out. Loved it loads many thanks.
Stanley
Absolutely perfect for our family gathering, fantastic facilities and comfort in the property. First class all round.
The Old Sunday School was a great base for our extended family holiday. The house was comfortable, spacious, beautiful decorated and well equipped. We found lots of easy family days out in the local area within a15 minute drive and it was a great base for exploring the Forest of Dean. We couldnt fit both cars on the drive a large family car plus a medium family car but it wasnt a problem to park on the road outside.
Outstanding in every way

The Old Sunday School is a truly wonderful property. It has everything you could possibly need for a super holiday comfortable beds, comfortable sofas, fully equipped kitchen, spacious bathrooms, the list is endless Definitely worth another stay at some point in the future.
A lovely property, beautifully maintained and spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds and a pleasure to use the very well equipped kitchen. Ideal centre for exploring the area which was totally new to us. A really enjoyable week.
A lovely house ideal for big families and close to local attractions and walks. Fantastic for a family celebration.

Well provided for. House spacious and comfortable. Nothing was overlooked. Everyone enjoyed their stay. Located in a quite village but close to larger towns. Lots of trips out and about.
Lovely house, nice sofas and very well equipped.
Fabulous place to stay. Will definitely be back. Thanks
Fantastic house, especially kitchen diner. Local coffee shop is good and there is a Spar a couple of minutes away and a CoOp 10 mins walk. The local pub doesn't serve food. The bike storage only holds 4 mtb's but may take 6 road bikes, it also isn't very secure, we backed our car against the door to prevent access.
Samantha
The house is amazing and exactly how it looks in the pictures. Very comfortable, spacious and would highly recommend
Raymond
Very well equipped property and the three sofas in the lounge was brilliant for our party of six. Clean and tidy throughout.
William
Property was as described and we all enjoyed our stay. The group consisted of 4 mature elderly almost
Truly beautiful, extremely clean house. We spent most of our time on the ground, which is perfect for everyone to socialise, relax and cook. House is furnished to high standards with a very clever floor layouts. Amazing forest walks are just minutes away with plenty of activities for everyone. I literally can't fault this house and will be returning again. Adam was available 247 to answer any questions we had and made our stay extra special. 6 out of 5 stars.
I spent 2 nights at the Old Sunday school with my 4 sisters to celebrate our Dad's 96th birthday. He was overwhelmed and said he had never stayed anywhere so nice. It was more than we expected from the photographs clean, spacious, light and airy, beautiful furnishings , well equipped and in a good location to discover the wider area. Adam was really helpful and we wouldn't hesitate to return for another stay.
Great house for a friends' reunion weekend! Spacious, really comfortable, very well equipped and really cool decor! Communication with Adam beforehand really easy, and he is very helpful ... nothing too much trouble. Would come back in a heartbeat!
Graham
We had a lovely stay at this excellent property. Very well appointed with high quality fitments and fittings and the owner was very communicative and helpful. Definitely a 5 star rating
Beautiful property, so spacious and gorgeous interior. Returned for a second time after a fantastic first stay 2 years ago. Beautiful views from the house and lots of lovely walks close by.
We had a phenomenal long weekend. Adam had thought of everything and as last time, its better than a home from home.
