The house was amazing, had everything for a family gathering, including a lovely welcome pack.

Perfect place for family reunion of adults. Accommodation is spacious and well equipped, clean and uncluttered. The village of Parkend is perfect for walks and there are several places to eat with a few minutes we walked to The Woodman on our last night which offered a wide menu with good choices for vegetarians and meat eaters, and welcomed dogs.

The house was perfect for us, exceeded our expectations, Bedrooms were all of a good size, having 4 bathshower rooms was a real bonus. First floor lounge area was great, dining area ideal for meals and playing board games, Pool and football table nice addition, seating area good for those watching or playing games on the TV or just wanting to relax. Kitchen was a good size having two fridges a bonus. Decking area covers the width of the house nice to sit outside on warm evenings, the grassed area not that large but adequate. Garden private. Was concerned re the spiral staircase, but it was fine, non slip and the treads were deep enough at the widest point. There are stairs outside that lead from the drive to the back garden. Parkend is a nice village with two good friendly pubs plus a local shopcafe where we enjoyed breakfast on a few occasions, also nice walks nearby. Welcome pack of essentials was a nice touch. Would definitely recommend.

Great property. We are a group of six friends and stayed for four days. The house was very clean and wellarranged with a lovely big kitchen. There are 2 fridges, one integrated undercounter and another tall, freestanding perfect for all the food we brought with us. Theres also an integrated undercounter freezer. The pool table and living room setup is a well thought out social space, although we found the wall TV quite small in relation to the room size, but we only watched the football world cup so it wasnt a massive problem for us. We loved the upside down element of most bedrooms being on the ground floor and therefore cooler in the hot weather. The garden is on the living room level upstairs on the first floor, with its patio doors opening outwards giving a fabulous spacious and airy feel. The large and central spiral staircase covering 3 floors is the main feature of the whole house. Theres a very large dining table that will seat at least 8 and a heated hostess trolley to boot! We didnt use either though, as we had glorious weather and ate outside on the decking every day we were there, from breakfast to supper. There are two dining sets out on the decking, which is the entire width of the house, with plenty of seating and comfy chair pads. Sadly there were no sun loungers for use on the lawn it would have been nice to have a few available, and also a parasol, as we were there in the midJuly heatwave. The decking does need some urgent repair, however we were notified of this the day before arrival and were made aware to be careful. In some places the decking is sinking with quite a few weak spots but the owners plan to fix asap. We visited Ross on Wye, had a ride on the local steam train and visited the Sculpture Park trail in the forest. Sunday lunch at the Tudor House was excellent and only a short drive away. Highly recommend this house for families and groups.

3 generations of our family enjoyed a wonderful week at About Time cottage. The house was amazing, so spacious with a fabulous communal area where the pool table and table football were very well used! The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were cool during a hot week. We ate on the terrace every evening where there was plenty of room for everyone. The village shop and coffee shop next door are great and very friendly, as is the local pub where we ate one evening! There are wonderful walks from the doorstep and we also visit Symonds Yat, Monmouth and Tintern Abbey all well worth a visit! All in all, we had an excellent week and hope to return soon! Thank you!

Unable to comment on the property as we were unable to attend the booking due to an illness within our group. Tried multiple times to contact Skyes Cottages with zero feedback or anyone getting back to me. The overall service was poor I would not recommend this website whatsoever. Very quick to keep asking me for feedback, so this is the second time Ive left negative feedback. Hopefully, someone gets back to me.

We were really impressed with About time Cottage. As a group of 4 couples meeting for a reunion and celebrating a big birthday. We loved its location ,decor and the fact that it was a comfortable sociable space . We even had a cookery party on Saturday . The fact that there was a pub within walking distance and walks from the door was great . We enjoyed going a little further afield to the sculpture trail and for an amazing Sunday lunch at the TudorFarmhouse Farmhouse . There was so much more to do if we d had time ! The communication from Lisa was a huge bonus and much appreciated x

About Time provides everything you need for a fabulous group break. The accommodation is superb. All bedrooms are lovely and three out of the five are ensuite the remaining two share which is perfectly fine. The facilities in the bathrooms are excellent. The space on the first and main living area is enormous. We were 10 nine adults and one child so much space for enjoying all the facilities there. The feng shui is great lots of natural light, windows, free flow of movement across the floor and up and down the spiral staircase has a lovely texture and colour and gives never ending delight. We made full use of the excellent kitchen to cater every meal for our 5 day stay tonnes of fridge space, tonnes of equipment, glassware, cutlery and even a hostess trolley which was pretty useful for the main roast! Nothing to my notice was missing and loads of surface space to work and chat and drink bucks fizz simultaneously. Walk from the door into the forest, or short hops in the car for a castle Chepstow castle incredible half day out, farmshop, market town or whatever you feel like enjoying. Warm as toast at all times with the underfloor heating, hot water aplenty for all. The shop and cafe next door provide a great offering all round and a Sainsbury's order to the door works brilliantly. We certainly hope to return and send our thanks to our host for such a gorgeous home, and very swift and helpful communication throughout. Book this, you won't be disappointed!

Fabulous house. So well equipped, comfortable, warm, lashing vs of hot water. Perfect holiday home for a family of 6 adults and 3 children. Would t fault it. Great communication with owner and housekeeper. Lots to do in area. Kids loved Santa steam train and Chepstow Castle.

We loved this holiday home clean spacious and well stocked. The staircase is like a work of art. Lisa really took care of us during our stay, and was easy to contact.

Aboutime Cottage was perfect for a large family reunion, with excellent facilities for cooking and plenty of room for socialising. The location in Parkend was great with beautiful forest walks, a steam train ride, a village shop, cafe and 2 good pubs on the doorstep.

About Time Cottage is a lovely property. Very spacious upstairs where the lounge, dining room and games room are in an open plan environment. The kitchen, which is really quite large, has all amenities needed. The bedrooms are comfortable with plenty of room. Our family loved staying here and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to visit the Forest of Dean. Personally we would go back again in a heartbeat.

We had a great holiday here. The only thing I would mention is that if you have an old dog they will not be able to manage the spiral staircase. We knew about this in advance and it wasn't a big issue as we just took our dog out of the front door and up the steps to the side of the house and in through the kitchen. The garden is secure for dogs.

The cottage was lovely and beautifully prepared with milk, tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits for us. Well appointed with everything we needed. Lits of seating areas inside and out. We would definitely come again.

About Time Cottage was very well presented , very clean and fully equipped . We had a lovely weekend there . Pub , post office and coffee shop within easy walking distance , plenty of parking and very pretty area .

We stayed 3rd 5th May for our joint hen do and would definitely love to come back. The property was out of this world with so many facilities, games, comforts and beautiful scenery. So much provided at the property we didn't go without. The host was amazing and even managed to get the property ready early for us. This was definitely a place for us to have a relaxed time before our big day.

Lovely house in a great location for exploring the Forest of Dean. Everything was spotlessly clean and communication with the property owner was faultless. There are two pubs within easy walking distance and they both offer good food and are family friendly. The cafe and the ice cream shed just along the road were hits with the whole family too. So much to do and see in the surrounding area. Fabulous!

A lovely house for 5 older couples or families. Very comfortable, spacious and very well equipped, if self catering. Although we ate out every evening. Two or three pub restaurants close by and within driving distance in Lydney & Coleford. We particularly liked the Rising Sun, Moseley Green. We were lucky that the weather was fantastic giving a chance to explore the Forest of Dean and Severn Estuary.

Fantastic property with everything you need. The bath upstairs is a luxury! The open plan living area is great for larger groups. This was our second stay. I can recommend the pub down the road for food too

This was perfect for our family group. We all really enjoyed out time here..Parking was ample. Cottage was well arranged for our group. Clean and comfortable.

Words can't describe how perfect this property was for our weekend away. Pictures don't do justice, it's a really big property. Clean and tidy, lovely extras milk, biscuits etc were a lovely touch. Communication excellent, friendly and approachable. Honestly the whole experience surpassed expectations Would 1000 stay again and wished we had booked for longer Few maintenance things need doing One half of oven doesn't work, lots of missing bulbs around property, football table very unstable we didn't use as too afraid it would break

An enjoyable break with family. Spacious house,lovely and warm,walks into the forest from the door and a superb cafe 2 doors away. Shelves or baskets in the bathrooms would be an asset

This is a superb house and so much bigger than the photos would suggest. The living area is huge and all the bedrooms are very large too. It has all the equipment you would need and everything worked faultlessly, aside from the odd light bulb, but nobody minds that. It is a fabulous house with loads of parking we had 4 cars parked, pet friendly, lovely personal touches and high quality already planning a return visit.

The house itself is very nice and as described, the issue with the house is the burglar alarm. We experienced approximately 10 power cuts through the night in the storm, after the power came back, the burglar alarm sounded every time. There are two burglar alarms, one in the hallway downstairs and one in the master bedroom where we had a 4 month old baby sleeping. We felt we had to leave a day early after getting no sleep. The burglar alarm needs either a battery back up or to be disabled for guests as a neighbour told us when we were leaving on the Sunday that the alarm sounding is not uncommon and that he often hears it sounding.

What a beautiful house. Very clean and had everything available that we could possibly need, even milk and a few other bits available for our arrival. Lovely experience to see the steam trains pass through the train station, just up the street. We would definitely recommend a stay here. Thank you

Great cottage. Pictures don't do it justice. Really spacious and comfortable. Well equipped with all you need to cook. Two fridges and separate freezer. Ample cleaning products. We arrived when it was dark and the cottage being lit and warm was very welcoming. Amie contacted me on the day to check how we wanted the beds made up. Handy convenience store a few mins away for forgotten essentials! We had a lovely 3 night stay with friends. The Woodman pub serves great food. Lots of lovely walks nearby.

This was an excellent stay. We loved the house, and especially the pool table. It was great for our dog too, with a safe enclosed garden.

Loved the property and we had a great weekend. The only small niggle strange thing was that all the wine glasses were made of plastic. It was out of sorts with the otherwise top end nature of the property.

Excellent cottage, situated in a lovely, countryside location and close to a lot of great activities. Cottage was welcoming, and nicely laid out in terms of the rooms, lounge and upper en suite. Lovely pubs within walking distance. Would highly recommend for family holidays and friendship groups. Couldnt find a fault!

About Time Cottage is a real gem of a place to stay. It is in such a lovely village, the cafe next door is great and the small village shop is well supplied. The house has everything you could possibly need, it's comfortable, well arranged and great for families. The spiral stair case was not an issue for the little ones in our party. We'd highly recommend a stay here.

Lovely family holiday at this superb cottage, there was nine of us and we were very comfortable, large rooms, well equipped, Such good communication from owner and her deputy. One tiny tiny point , a couple of more board games would have been the icing on the cake, I would have taken some had I have known . Eg, connect 4 , frustration, battleships.etc
