Robins Nest Reviews

We had a lovely short stay at Robin nest. The cottage is beautiful and well located to the village. We had everything we needed in the cottage and the hosts had left a welcome basket which also had a postcard of Robins nest.
We really enjoyed our stay at Robin's Nest in Bourton. The property is well laid out, clean, tidy, and well provisioned. The kitchen and utility room have everything you need, and there are clear instructions for everything. The property is quiet, the living room is cosy, and the beds are comfortable. The property is really well located a short walk from the town centre, pubs and restaurants, and there is ample parking close to the property. We would definitely stay again.
Claire
Lovely comfortable cottage in a great location that suited all the family from the 85 year old to the 25 year old.
Gabrielle
Lovely cottage in a great location just a few minutes from the center of the village. Cosy comfortable cottage with everything you could need! Bedrooms all a good size and nicely spaced out across the property. Mattresses not the most comfortable throughout but that would be our only complaint!
Jessica
Lovely cottage, great location. Had everything we needed for a weekend away!
Richard
Lovely cottage, with everything we needed. Fantastic location. We would highly recommend.
Stayed here for my mums 70th birthday just before Christmas, it was perfect for us. Lovely cottage perfect location to everything nearby.
Lovely cottage in a great location in BourtonontheWater. We stayed here with a family of 8 and it was big enough for everyone to be comfortable. We found the dining area and living room really nice and the Kitchen well appointed. It did get a little cold at night but that is typical in our experience for rural England this time of year. We would stay here again.
Excellent property. Wellequipped and very comfortable. Everything was very clean when we arrived, and we found no issues with the property. Thanks for the biscuits and sweets! Much appreciated. There are some steps within the property which are mentioned in the listing. The satnav directions that we received direct you to the wrong side of the road, but I have advised the agency and hopefully this is being corrected. Good access to local pubs, attractions, walks, and a 30minute drive to Cheltenham races. Highly recommended property.
Claire
Lovely accommodation in a great location 5 couples stayed for the weekend and had everything we needed
We are a family of 10 of mixed ages. lovely property and a very good location for Bourton on water. Really clean and absolutely everything provided, plenty of very nice crockery. We went in October and the heating was very efficient lovely flame fire in main room We all enjoyed staying there Parking was a bit tight. We had three cars. Two go on the front and one goes on a space where bins are put out on a Monday for collection
We all enjoyed a wonderful stay at Robin's Nest. A lovely home with comfy beds and all the amenities you would need and a great location to walk in to BourtonOnTheWater. We would highly recommend this beautiful home.
Audrey
We had a fabulous family stay in Robins Nest, in what was probably the hottest week this year! ! From 70 year old grandparents, 40 year olds, teenagers right down to our little 2 year old. The property was perfect for us, spent lovely balmy evenings sat in the garden with beer and wine flowing. 10 minute walk into lovely BourtonontheWater and a visit to Jeremy Clarksons, The Farmers Puppy and Hawkstone brewery. Highly recommend this property for a family get together.
Catherine
It was a family break celebrating special birthdays and it could not have been more idyllic A short walk into the centre and a lovely outdoor space to sit and relax with a cuppa. All the rooms suited us well and although there are some steps on the ground floor they did not cause any issues for our disabled family member.. Sad to leave and hope to be back in the future
Ideal location for group getaway. Spacious house with everything you need apart from scissors, which we struggled to find!. Wonderful location a little retreat away from the crowds, with lots of beautiful places to explore on the doorstep. Highly recommend would go back
Gillian
This is a beautiful and well cared for characterful property in an ideal location for walking into Bourton and for exploring the Cotswolds. Its well equipped and very comfortable. Theres plenty of parking spaces and an attractive garden with lots of comfortable seating. It was perfect for our stay.
We booked Robins Nest so that we could celebrate our 55th wedding anniversary with our two daughters, two son in laws and our three grandchildren. We all had a super week together and really enjoyed our time at the cottage. Being in Robins Nest as a family with all needs catered for was very special.
Gerard
We were using Robins Nest for a siblings get together. My wife had stayed at the property before and had spoken highly of it. None of us were diss appointed. The house is lovely and was perfect for our stay. Also being so close to the center made it an ideal location. One small point, we did find it difficult trying to open the front door, it took several attempts every time we returned
We had a problem with the toilet & plumbing on second day, so messaged cleaner as Sykes would not give me the owner's number. They did not come out until our last day at 8.30am?? This is not acceptable. We only had 1 bathroom & downstairs toilet all holiday as the toilet would not go down and the sewerage was overflowing all out the drain every time we used kitchen sink and all over the drive. The smell was horrendous. all weekend. The bath towels were tiny and the bathroomtoilet windows need to be frosted . so we don't av to pull blinds down every time we use the toilet. It is a shame at is in a lovely area and house is nice
Thank you, we had a really lovely week in Robins Nest with friends and family. The cottage had everything we needed, and there was even enough warm March sunshine to enjoy the garden.
Michael
Fantastic cottage in a lovely location. Met and exceeded all of our needs. We had a great time.
A really lovely, cosy, clean & comfortable cottage in a brilliant location for exploring Bourton on foot. It was cold during our stay but the cottage was really easy to get warmed up, and we also appreciated how well equipped the kitchen was. There is an excellent playpark round the corner for little ones, as well as the other great activities & walks in Bourton. Would 100 recommend and return ourselves, thanks!
Excellent all round. Thank you everyone !! Great location. House was brilliant! We all loved it for a 60th birthday family celebration. Would book again tomorrow! Very well set up for 6 of us .
We were in the Cotswolds for a family wedding and the cottage worked so well for us. 3 generations getting ready all at the same time but it worked perfectly. It was a nice quiet spot too, despite being so close to the centre of the village. Would definitely recommend.
Elizabeth
Beautiful and comfortable home with excellent facilities. Great location and short walk into the centre of the town. The enclosed south facing garden was a bonus for both our grandchildren and our dog and the off road parking facilities were excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
Jacqueline
Well place property walking distance to village centre but away from the tourists.
A beautiful property very close to the village. It is spacious and very attractive with lots of space for large families or groups. A well equipped kitchen and lovely dining room and lounge. As its a traditional cottage it is naturally quite dark inside but we were lucky enough to enjoy beautiful weather and could enjoy being out in the spacious garden. We couldnt however find the cushions for the outdoor sofa.? My only criticism would be the towels were quite small for adults and the window in the downstairs toilet faces the road and is clear glass. The blind had to be kept closed! Overall a perfect location and a very pretty place to stay. We would definitely return.
Robin's Nest is a wonderful, well equipped house in an idyll location. We had everything we needed for a superb week long stay and will be rebooking for a return visit soon. Initially I thought that only 2 showers for 10 people would not be enough but it worked out well. Also, inspite of detailed instructions, it was still confusing knowing what recycling to put where! And the parking wasn't clear but we were always able to get 3 cars parked. We had beautiful weather and it was nice to be able to sit outside having morning coffee or afternoon tea. A huge bonus was being able to walk into Bourtononthewater, especially during the weekend and Bank Holiday as the traffic through the village was particularly busy then. Definitely a 5 star property.
Ingrid
Lovely property, had everything we needed, the beds were really comfy we all ... Lovely property, had everything we needed, the beds were really comfy we all slept great, the outside space was good as we managed to have some sunshine, the best was the location, not even a 10 min walk into the village which was absolutely beautiful
Needs a cafetire and extra cutlery please so can have 2 courses without washing up in between!
Esther
A lovely cottage, just 10 minutes walk to the centre of BourtonontheWater. Clean, well equipped. 3 longer walks that we did started from a footpath next to the cottage..... ideal! Wheelchair hire just 5 minutes walk away, for one of our number who needed it 10 per day, 30 per week. Thank you
Great trip perfect house to celebrate an important birthday fantastic location
A stunning, spacious country cottage in a brilliant location to Bourton village. What a beautiful place for my family to get together for my 60th Birthday celebrations
